A SLICE OF HEAVEN

Where Community means Family.

Community Makes Us Who We Are

Located in Steinbeck's "Pastures of Heaven" at CDTEC we strive to be a beacon in the local community. The main goal of the CDTEC is to provide a space where young (and older) riders can come to a safe environment and receive instruction, or come for summer camps and spend time with the horses.

Our History

Community lives here.

Also known as Pattee Ranch, Corral de Tierra Equestrian Center or (CDTEC) was first owned by Mr. Pattee and his Wife Pattee Ingeborg. Mrs. Pattee moved to the United States in 1956 and married Alan Pattee in 1968.

The Ranch was sold in 1987 to Gary and Jerri Kimmel. They would transform the ranch into an equestrian facility for Peruvian Horses. After many successful years, they established The Riding Academy with Sabrina Miller.

TRA was established as a community-based equestrian training and boarding facility. It remains a place that fosters priceless relationships between young and old riders alike and their equine partners. The new ownership is committed to maintaining this relationship and expanding the facilities to meet the growing community needs.
